KARUIZAWA, Japan -- Minjee Lee shot a 7-under 65 in her last amateur round and Su Oh had a 66 in Australias record comeback victory Saturday in the Womens World Amateur Team Championship. Seven strokes behind leader Canada entering the day, Australia took the lead through six holes and finished at 29-under 547 for a two-stroke victory. Shelly Shin had a 74 for Australia, with only the top two scores each day counting in the team total. "They never thought they were out of it, but they were close to possibly being out of it," Australian captain Matt Cutler said. "It was the fastest start you could ever see coming." Lee and Oh were 7 under on the first six holes to give Australia the lead. Lee had an eagle and two birdies during the run, and Oh had three birdies. "I wanted to make this something to remember," Lee said. "I wanted this to be a priceless experience for everyone." The 18-year-old Lee turned professional Monday and will play the Evian Championship next week in France. She was No. 1 in the world amateur ranking. Australias 72-hole total of 547 was a stroke off South Koreas 2010 record and the final-round 131 was the second-best in tournament history. The top teams finished on Karuizawa 72 Golf Easts Iriyama Course. The 18-year-old Lee, No. 1 in the world amateur ranking, shot a 64 on Friday on the Oshitate Course to give Australia a chance to win the Espirito Santo Trophy for the third time. The seven-shot comeback broke the tournament record of three set by Australia in 2002 in Malaysia. Australia also won the biennial event in 1978. "We talked last night that if you broke it down as an individual and you were three or four strokes down through 54 holes, you could give yourself a chance," Cutler said. "We were seven down, so thats how we approached it." Canada was second at 27 under, with 16-year-old Brooke Henderson winning the individual title at 19-under 269. Lee was second, three strokes back. "Australia had a great round today. I was really impressed," Henderson said. "They have very skilled players, including two in the top 10 in the world rankings, which is unbelievable. Its a little disappointing to finish second, but overall we had a really great week and played really well as a team." Henderson closed with a 68 to break the individual record of 274 set by Lydia Ko in 2012. Ranked second in the world, Henderson was the low amateur at the U.S. Womens Open and the U.S. Womens Amateur runner-up. Brittany Marchand added a 72 for Canada, and Augusta James had a 75. South Korea, the 2010 and 2012 winner, was third at 26 under, and Denmark was fourth at 20 under. The United States tied for fifth at 19 under. Allison Lee shot 68, U.S. Womens Amateur champion Kristen Gillman 71, and Emma Talley 74. "Alison was hitting the ball as well as she had any other day, maybe even better, but she just couldnt buy a putt," U.S. captain Martha Lang said. "Kristen was 3 under before she made three straight bogeys, but she hung in there. And today, unfortunately, Emma never got it going. Overall, we are pleased and disappointed at the same time." The 2016 tournament will be play in Cancun, Mexico. Discount Air Jordan 6 Sale . Hi Mr. Fraser, When I was watching the Heritage Classic in Vancouver there was a play midway through the third where Ottawa crashed the Canucks net and it came off its moorings.VANCOUVER - An ugly two minutes in the second period cost the Vancouver Canucks.Zach Parise and Jared Spurgeon scored back-to-back goals as the Minnesota Wild topped the Canucks 4-2 on SundayAfter a scoreless first period, the Canucks were on their heels early in the second. Parises attempted pass found its way through the legs of a stranded Ryan Miller after taking a slight deflection off of Lucas Sbisas glove at 7:26 of the period. He was trying to hit Vanek backside and Sbisa is laid out. To me, it looked like it was getting through so I started my push, it hit Sbisa in the glove and it went five-hole, said Miller, who made 16 saves in the loss. I had it going under Sbisa and it ended up going under me.Thomas Vanek and Jason Zucker, into an empty net with 55 seconds left to play, also scored for the Wild (23-20-6). Ronalds Kenins and Daniel Sedin replied for the Canucks (27-18-3).Minnesota grabbed its second goal, and first on the power play, at 9:26 of the second when Nino Niederreiter drove to the corner before passing back to an open Spurgeon at the point. His shot got through a group of bodies in front of the net for the Wilds second goal.Vancouver came out stronger in the third period but was down 3-0 midway through the period when Vanek scored his tenth goal of the season. He took a pass from Mikael Granlund just past centre, drifting to the right and shooting above Millers blocker.Kenins first NHL goal, scored at 12:20 of the third, combined with Sedin scoring his tenth goal of the season just over a minute later, provided a spark for Vancouver but it was too little, too late.We played well the last 20 minutes bbut it doesnt really matter, said Sedin.dddddddddddd When we are down 3-0 its tough. We have to be stronger when we have those down moments in a game. Right now we are not.Vancouver had a disallowed goal early in the third period when Alexander Edlers shot from the point was waved off for goalie interference. Radim Vrbata was judged to have impeded Dubnyks movement across the crease.Vrbata is in the crease and I cant get in my crease to where I need to be to make that save, said Dubnyk.Despite Canucks players arguing about the call, head coach Willie Desjardins refused to blame officiating for the teams performance. The refs didnt beat us tonight. said Desjardins. We had our chances. We have to be better. The win for the Wild marks only the second time they have completed a sweep of Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver on the same road trip. The first time happened in March 2007.Wild head coach Mike Yeo paid tribute to Dubnyk, who had his fifth win as a member of the team and stopped 35 shots, for inspiring the team.Confidence is one thing and a lot of credit has to go to (Dubnyk). Again the type of game they come out, get two or three chances and allows us to settle into the game and grab that first goal, said Yeo.Notes: The Canucks have three games left on a six-game homestand including Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets. ...
