The defense, even having allowed 71 points on their own field over the last two games, has gotten the short end of the stick from the offense. The Jets defense is playing at a top ten level on 3rd down, in the red zone, and in the takeaway department. They’re doing that with the 3rd worst average starting field position in the league thanks to the offense. On the other side, the offense is performing at a bottom ten level in converting 3rd downs, scoring touchdowns in the red zone, and taking care of the ball. They’ve done all of that in spite of prime field position thanks to the defense and special teams - yet have still struggled and failed to give the defense rest and good field position in return. The Jets are 30th in plays and time of possession per drive.Injuries and offensive help considered Womens Trumaine Johnson Jersey , the Jets defense has done a respectable job thus far this year on the whole. There are a lot of long-term holes that still need filling, and the unit has been far from elite, but their situational ability has been impressive so far.Altogether, these numbers aren’t terribly surprising. The Jets are struggling to build consistency under a rookie quarterback, with a mediocre offensive line and banged up skill position group that is devoid of a star. Defensively, the Jets are a solid, but unspectacular unit that is prone to pay for its lack of pass rush and depth but has done a great job in key situations and with making big plays. The Jets win, the Jets win! The bar for excitement is pretty low at this point, but it felt darn good to be in the win column. Even better, we actually have some quality performances from guys who don’t regularly find themselves on this list. And the kicker? No kicker!Bronze Star: DE Leonard Williams (3 tackles, 2 QB hits Youth Lac Edwards Jersey , 7 QB pressures)Leonard Williams may not have lit up the stat sheet, but boy was he disruptive in this game. The Bills defensive line gave up a whopping 39 QB pressures, 7 of which were provided by Leonard Williams, along with a couple QB hits. This is the type of games pundits are talking about when it comes to hidden production and it was nice to see the Big Cat look good out there again, even if it came against one of the weakest offensive lines in football.Silver Star: KR Andre Roberts (5 kick returns for 176 yards, 1 fumble)If Roberts had held onto the ball on his second half return, he’d definitely be the gold star winner. In a game against an incredibly tough defense, Roberts added 176 yards on just 5 kick return attempts. With Roberts as returner, the Jets are now first in kick return yardage, third in average, fourth in punt return yardage http://www.jetsfootballauthentics.com/nathan-shepherd-jersey-authentic , first in punt return average, and tied for first in punt return TDs. This is shocking considering how terrible the Jets have been in special teams for years, including their coverage and blocking. With Roberts’ help, the Jets totaled 186 return yards (including a squib kick to Chris Herndon that set the Jets up with great field position to avoid kicking to Roberts) in a game in which they had only 248 total yards of offense and averaged 4.7 yards per play. In fact, the Bills were better in time of possession, total yardage, passing yardage, rushing yardage, first downs, and yards per play and still lost, largely in part due to field position. Well played Youth Bilal Powell Jersey , Roberts.Gold Star: CB Trumaine Johnson (3 tackles, 2 PDs, 2 INTs)For the second consecutive week, Johnson finds himself back on the list. This time, he’s earned the top slot with an impressive performance. While they might not have been the toughest plays of the year, Johnson recorded both picks, sealing the game to prevent a last ditch effort by Allen and the Bills. Outside of his two big plays, he played quite well in coverage in a game in which Allen looked very much like a rookie. It’s been nice to see Johnson show up the last few weeks after an extremely disappointing start to his massive contract. So there you have it, fourteen weeks in and the table stands:Jamal Adams 18 points (4 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze)Jason Myers 11 points (2 gold Youth Steve McLendon Jersey , 2 silver, 1 bronze)Avery Williamson 6 points (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze)Morris Claiborne 5 points (2 silver, 2 bronze)Andre Roberts 5 points (1 gold, 1 silver)Quincy Enunwa 4 points (1 gold, 1 bronze)Darron Lee 4 points (2 silver)Trumaine Johnson 4 point (1 gold, 1 bronze)Deontay Burnett 3 points (1 gold)Isaiah Crowell 3 points (1 gold)Henry Anderson 3 points (1 gold)Leonard Williams 3 points (1 silver, 1 bronze)Jermaine Kearse 2 points (1 silver)Sam Darnold 2 points (1 silver)Bilal Powell 2 points (2 bronze)Robby Anderson 1 point (1 bronze)Darryl Roberts 1 point (1 bronze)Jordan Jenkins 1 point (1 bronze)
